Why indices

One position, hundreds of companies

Diversified by construction

An index CFD spreads exposure across every constituent, so a single earnings miss cannot dominate the outcome the way it can on a single stock.

Nearly round the clock

US and German contracts quote for 23 hours a day. Overnight moves in Asia can be traded or hedged long before the cash market opens.

Tight, symmetric costs

Spreads from 0.4 points with no commission on cash indices, identical in both directions. Dividend adjustments are passed through on ex-dates.

Indices FAQ

Questions about index CFDs

What is the difference between a cash index and a futures-based index CFD?

A cash index tracks the underlying index level with the futures fair-value basis stripped out and is financed overnight. A futures-based index tracks a specific contract month, carries no overnight financing and is rolled to the next month before expiry with a cash adjustment.

When can I trade US 500?

Twenty-three hours a day from Sunday 23:00 UTC to Friday 21:00 UTC with a one-hour break at 21:00–22:00 UTC. Spreads are tightest during the New York cash session (13:30–20:00 UTC).

Are dividends adjusted on index CFDs?

Yes. When a constituent goes ex-dividend, the index falls by the weighted dividend amount. FBGM24 credits long positions and debits short positions by the equivalent amount so the effect is neutral.

What is the smallest index trade?

0.1 contract. On US 500 at 5,480 that is a notional of 548 USD, requiring 5.48 USD margin at 1:100.
